Job Overview

Shriners Children's St. Louis has an opportunity for a Health Information Management (HIM) Clerk. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Responsibilities

The Health Information Management Clerk performs various HIM functions and responsibilities including processing information for the Medical Home initiative, retrieving records from all treatment areas, prepping and scanning medical records into the electronic medical record (EMR).

This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year healthcare experience in medical records processing operation, physician office, business office and/or customer service

Preferred:

  • American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) credentialed
  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) through AHIMA
