SSH Cancer Registry Cancer CenterFull time40Day (United States of America)Under general supervision and according to established objectives and procedures, codes and abstracts cancer data, follows-up cancer patients and performs long and short term audits.

Identify, abstract and provide follow up for patients with cancer. Includes reviewing and analyzing hospital records and other medical reports for cancer data. Data collection and determination includes: demographics, primary site, histology, stage and treatment on all cancer primaries. Data will be coded and recorded according to the Commission on Cancer Standards for Oncology Registry Entry and the Massachusetts State Cancer Registry, as well as ICD-O, AJCC, SEER and Solid Tumor Manual. Required: Certified Tumor Registrar Certification (CTR)/Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) or able to pass the CTR examination within 1 year of date of hire; ability to work independently, abstract all cancer sites, complete follow-up including recurrences and subsequent treatment and case finding, assist with Tumor Boards as necessary. Knowledge of METRIQ software preferred.
