SummaryUnder the direction of Pharmacy Leadership, this role is responsible for supporting the pharmacy's operations and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medications and healthcare products.

Essential Functions
Accurately and efficiently fill prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Select the correct medications, measure the appropriate quantities, and label prescriptions correctly.
Maintain adequate stock levels of medications and supplies, monitor expiration dates, and assist with organizing the pharmacy's inventory.
Receive and interpret prescription orders, ensuring they are complete and accurate.
Verify patient information, insurance details, and medication dosages.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials
Pharmacy Technician [State License] - Generic - HR Only required
Pharmacy Technician Certification [CPhT] - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required
Experience
Experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a healthcare or retail pharmacy setting 5-7 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and prescription processing.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems and other relevant technology.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to perform accurate calculations and measurements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with pharmacy practice settings, legal requirements and limitations, prescription information and calculations, drug identification and generic equivalents, drug manufacturing, packaging and labeling information, and proper drug handling and storage practices.
