Job Summary
The Business Systems Analyst works with users to provide software/application support services. May also work with users to understand clinical and business workflows, document functional requirements, execute test scripts, and perform user acceptance testing.Our team provides comprehensive support for ambulatory and ambulatory related clinical applications used in outpatient settings, including Cadence, MyChart, Dragon, and other core Epic modules. We support the Community Division, which includes the Mass General Brigham Medical Group and community hospital outpatient departments at Newton Wellesley Hospital (NWH), Martha’s Vineyard Hospital (MVH), Salem Hospital (SLM), Wentworth Douglass Hospital (WDH), and Cooley Dickinson Hospital (CDH).
Essential Functions
-Support and educate users on the use of clinical and complementary applications.
-Help identify and resolve issues, escalating as needed for timely resolution.
-Provide high-quality service to end users in accordance with defined service-level agreements.
-Assist with documenting business processes and running reports as needed.
-Understand user requirements; assist in translating these into functional requirements.
-Assist with executing user acceptance testing plans.
-Participate in team meetings to discuss team and project activities, issues, changes, and communications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
- Can this role review and consider experience in lieu of a degree? Yes
- Related IT experience, ideally in healthcare IT environment 0-1 year preferred
Skills For Success
- Experience providing end-user support, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to document workflows and business processes.
- Proficient in interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Ability to learn, Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and other popular office productivity solutions, and quick learning.
