Job Summary
Summary:We are seeking a motivated data analyst to join the Center for Precision Psychiatry (CPP) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of statistical methods, strong programming skills in R and Python, and an interest in deriving insights from complex data to answer clinically relevant questions in psychiatry.
The candidate will work closely with CPP PIs to conduct analyses and build reproducible analytic pipelines for a variety of scientific projects focused on predicting psychiatric resilience and risk and gene-environment influences on mental health using advanced statistical and machine learning methods.
The candidate will have the opportunity to work with a wealth of large-scale datasets in adults and young people including electronic health records, genomics, and longitudinal survey cohort databases (demonstrated prior experience with such databases will be favored) and to contribute to peer-reviewed publications. The candidate will interact closely with a rich learning environment of CPP faculty, trainees, and staff as well as collaborators at MGH and Harvard.
Collaborates with team members to assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data sets.
Essential Functions:
Writes and runs basic queries as needed.
-Assists in maintaining existing reporting systems.
-Contributes to presentations to key stakeholders.
-Works with senior analysts to design, maintain, and distribute reports.
-Learn leading practice analysis methodologies.
-Conduct continuous analysis of current performance and accurately forecast data trends.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree Analytics required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Building proficiency in statistics, data analysis, and data sets.
- Proficient in time management and project management skills.

- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database PC applications.
- Solid quantitative, analytical, and technical aptitude skills.
- Participate in dealing with all levels of employees /management and building proficient relationships with teams and all organizational customers.
- Able to find and define problems, understand business impact, identify solutions, and provide recommendations for corrective action.
