Job Summary

Assists users to understand clinical and/or business workflows, define functional requirements, convey requirements to colleagues engaged in software design and configuration activities, execute test scripts and user acceptance testing, and provide software support services.

Essential Functions

-Support and educate users on application use. Prepare end-user training materials.

-Create and run reports as needed.

- Utilize Epic Dashboard and Slicer Dicer tools to create sustainable productivity dashboards and establish routine reporting timeframes

-Document and analyze business processes and workflows to drive business process improvements and ensure accurate system configuration. Where possible, identify opportunities for process improvement.

-Understand user requirements; translate them into functional requirements, and assist the user with submitting software updates.

-Develop and execute user acceptance testing plans, including creation of test cases.

-Communicate the status of various team efforts to leadership and other stakeholders, including preparing presentations in collaboration with senior staff.

- Assist Leadership team with support of various vendors

-Assist in identifying and recommending leading practices for business analysis, training, and end-user support functions.

- Working knowledge of revenue cycle operations with specific concentration in Patient Access, Financial Counseling, Estimates and Pre-Service Collections


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Information Systems or related field of study required

  • Equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree


Experience

  • Experience in information technology, working with business or clinical systems 2-3 years required

  • Worked in a large complex healthcare organization

  • Must be proficient in Epic Rev Cycle applications

  • Experience in building Epic Dashboards

  • Experience providing training and support to end users 1-2 years preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to effectively translate business requirements to functional requirements.

  • Possess proficient interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical staff.

  • Ability to effectively conduct small to mid-sized meetings, both formal and informal.

  • Ability to learn quickly and share insights with teammates.

  • Proficient in written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation and presentation.
