Job Summary

The CMMS Application Analyst II is a part of the MGB Biomedical Engineering department's Systems division.

Working under the direction of the Systems Manager, maintains the department's computerized equipment maintenance management system (CMMS) in accordance with departmental policies and practices, assuring data quality and integrity, and use of terminology, nomenclature, and data entry standards. Performs data input and data maintenance on a regular basis through additions and modifications to database records, ensuring conformance to change management practices.


Monitors, assesses, and audits data entry tasks by others, and works with management and/or front-line staff to resolve issues identified with any data sets. Performs continuous monitoring of existing data sets through random audits, exception reporting, and other types of analysis.


Develops and/or runs reports and SQL queries of potentially moderate complexity at the request of department management on an as-needed or scheduled basis. Provides basic training and support to system users. Creates and maintains system user profiles and manages user access rights. Investigates technical issues and works with the system vendor as necessary to resolve.


Performs front-end system configuration tasks to support use of the CMMS system and to improve or enhance system workflows, security, and usability. Completes billing duties for technical support services.


Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's Degree required

Experience
- Experience in the development, support or operation of software applications 2-3 years required

- Experience in Healthcare strongly preferred



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and other popular office productivity solutions.
