MGB Digital is hiring a Full Time Sr Data Warehouse Architect, this role is vital to the team handling a major migration to Cloud that is ongoing and vital the MGB system. We will provide extensive and hands on training to understands our system and complex environment.

o DBT is highly preferred, the team uses the tool now

Job Summary

The Opportunity

MGB Digital is hiring a vital member of the team! The Sr Data Warehouse Architect will be designing, developing, and maintaining data warehouse solutions for an organization. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient storage, organization, and accessibility of data to support the company's business intelligence and reporting needs.

The migration began early 2024 and is going and long term. MGB continues to ensure the quality of this project. You will play a vital role as we continue to move the Cloud. DBT is highly preferred, the team uses the tool now.



What You'll Do

-Develops data warehouse architectures that align with the organization's business goals and requirements.
-Designs and implements data models that support the reporting and analytical needs of the organization.
-Establishes data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
-Identifies performance bottlenecks and optimizes data warehouse processes, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), data transformation, and query execution.
-Evaluates and selects appropriate data integration tools and technologies to support the data warehouse architecture.
-Leads other developers, analysts, and data warehouse architects, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical expertise.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
  • Can this role consider and review experience in lieu of a degree? Yes
  • Experience in data warehousing, database design, and data modeling 8-10+ years required


Skills for Success

  • In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Data Warehouse platforms.
  • Knowledge of Azure.
  • Proficiency in data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, DataStage, SSIS). DBT is highly preferred, the team uses the tool now.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and SQL query optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with dimensional modeling and star schema design.

Working Model Requirements

  • M-F Eastern business hours required
  • Hybrid onsite days in office, candidate must be flexible for business needs
  • This team is currently onsite 4 days per month with planning
  • On remote workdays, employees must use a stable, secure, and compliant workstation in a quiet environment. Teams video is required and must be accessed using MGB-provided equipment.
