Job Summary
SummaryA creative content developer who helps strategize and create state-of-the-art digital content for Mass General Brigham marketing and communications plans, with a particular focus on research and targeting the medical professional audience.
This collaborative individual works across the Digital Marketing team to contribute to a range of digital content creations for prioritized initiatives and service lines, targeting physicians, thought leaders, and researchers.
Responsible for developing and executing content strategies that promote the organization's services, enhance medical professional and patient engagement, and strengthen brand presence. This role involves collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to create compelling content that informs, educates, and supports our core audiences.
-Create content strategies aligned with MGB health system goals and audience needs.
-Apply audience research to tailor content effectively for various demographics.
-Plan and create high-quality, engaging content across platforms.
-Edit and approve content produced by junior team members and external vendors.
-Work closely with clinical staff to ensure the accuracy and relevance of medical information.
-Partner with marketing, public relations, and digital teams to promote content initiatives.
-Assist site strategy team and SEO/social team to ensure that content is optimized for search and properly tagged for tracking.
-Support leadership, colleagues and external agencies/vendors to execute projects and adhere to timelines and budgets
-Demonstrate comfort working both independently and in project teams
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree Marketing required or Bachelor's Degree Communications required or Bachelor's Degree Journalism required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
Experience
Experience in content strategy or related roles 5-7 years required and Experience in a healthcare setting 2-3 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in content management systems and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO best practices).
- Experience in project management and working in cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance issues (e.g., HIPAA).
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and social media platforms.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including superior writing and editing skills
- Outstanding oral and written communication
- Familiarity with digital content creation tools
- Familiarity with digital analytics and experience applying data to optimize content performance
- Proven professional, able to work effectively with a variety of personality types and job levels
