The Opportunity:
Join our team for a summer internship and learn about various operational aspects of the Digital Data Platforms at Mass General Brigham Digital. The Data Platform comprises an end to end cloud environment which is inclusive of an Azure DataLake and a SnowFlake environment primarily feeding the downstream reporting. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience working in an Agile/Kanban environment and receive an opportunity to understand the Azure & SnowFlake environments.
• The Student Intern receives academic credit in accordance with school and internship guidelines. The MGB internship program provides hands-on professional learning experiences specific to the department.

• Organizational Insight: Provide a deeper understanding of MGB culture, including its trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to development of DBT ETL pipelines to move data into different SnowFlake zones
• Understand Azure stack and pipelines
• Troubleshoot job failures and follow CI/CD deployments
• Work with cross functional teams to understand end-to-end flow of data
• Follow automated scheduling tools (Tidal) & end-to-end Ops Support protocols
• Collaborate with team members to build datasets, queries, dashboards and larger solutions which drives business value & decisions
• Incorporate standards and conformed practices in building end-to-end solutions
• Understand functioning and end-to-end data flow including daily operations & support
• Participate in ServiceNow incident events & closure of tickets. Understand incident & change management process
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Current enrollment in college-level courses required
Working knowledge of data models and data pipeline design in SnowFlake using DBT
Strong knowledge of SQL & ETL development
Ability to troubleshoot data integrations and flows for job performance & data accuracy.
Working knowledge of R & Python is preferred
Familiarity with Azure DevOps and ML pipelines
Independently monitor job schedules, understand SLAs and communication protocols for Ops support
Understanding of LLMs and Gen AI is beneficial
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and pivot within scope for business needs
Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously to take initiative and common goals
Schedule requirements:
This internship will be June 2nd - August 8th 2025.
40 hours/week
M-F Hybrid role includes onsite at MGB local sites and Assembly Row.
Remote Working days require stable, quiet, secure working area that is HIPAA compliant
Onsite events are planned ahead, working days onsite weekly vary for department needs, must be flexible.
