Job Summary

Summary

Responsible for analyzing system specifications to develop software for computer applications; developing solution software; documenting the methods and procedures used in software development; and testing, correcting, and revising software.

Essential Functions
-Analyzes users’ needs; designs, tests, and develops software to meet those needs.
-Analyzes proposed applications for equipment requirements and capabilities.
-Analyzes, reviews, and revises software to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to new procedures.
-Writes routine to complex software code and debugs software.
-Prepares detailed analyses, plans, diagrams, and verification procedures for existing and proposed applications.
-Prepares and executes software test plans.


Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science required

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
Related programming experience 2-3 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to program in languages such as C++, Java (J2EE), XML, Python etc.
- Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
- Excellent knowledge with relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies.
- Detail-oriented and excellent concentration ability.
- An analytical mindset and critical thinking.
- Demonstrable ability to discover and fix errors in code.
