The Opportunity
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Digital Health Innovation Group (DHIG) leads and supports the development, testing, and expansion of innovative digital solutions designed to improve the experiences of patients and staff, as well as to create new revenue streams. Together with the Lead Innovation Strategist, the Senior Digital Health Innovation Analyst assists innovators in refining their ideas and steering them toward more strategic and impactful digital health solutions while also contributing to the development of and ensuring compliance to DFCI’s evolving governance and information security policies.
The Senior Digital Health Innovation Analyst is deeply involved with the Institute's varied needs, acting as both a connector and a strategic thinker. The role emphasizes strategic planning and human-centered design, ensuring that digital solutions are created with a clear understanding of users' needs. The individual in this position is expected to challenge the status quo and drive innovation thoughtfully and respectfully.
Moreover, the role requires a willingness to engage with a broad range of individuals across the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, often involving connections with colleagues at all levels and in various departments to determine project ownership and facilitate decision-making. The analyst should be prepared for the collaborative nature of work at DFCI, where daily interactions with a variety of departments and stakeholders are routine. This aspect of the job underscores the need for flexibility, adaptability, and a cooperative approach, all of which are crucial for fostering innovation and achieving successful outcomes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Specifically, the Senior Digital Health Innovation Analyst will :
- Lead initial idea/project intake
- Complete market analysis
- Drive requirements gathering and definition
- Participate in solution identification and planning
- Advise and guide tools and resource matchmaking
- Oversee vendor management and implementation
- Document project proposals, requirements, plans, project management assets, etc.

Minimum Job Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in business and/or healthcare sectors
- Standard office applications such as Microsoft Office 365: Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Visio; Smartsheet; Zoom
Preferred Job Qualifications
- Equally comfortable with Windows, Apple, iOS, Android interfaces
- Familiarity with agile and lean UX software development practices
- Familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) accessibility and writing for specified health literacy grade level and other regulatory constraints
Experienced business analysis ability to:
- Conduct primary and secondary research
- Process and opportunity mapping
- Landscape and gap analysis
- Elicit and specify business requirements and project scope resulting from stellar listening skills
- Gather, analyze, synthesize data of varying complexity
- Demonstrate technical, creative, and business understanding and insight
- Strong knowledge and interest of trends in related industries and key players, emerging technologies, and new business models
- Familiarity with systems dynamics thinking and modelling
- Familiarity with a human-centered design product development lifecycle - envisioning new strategies and solutions, design, implementation, and support strategies
- Effectively communicate compelling stories in writing, visually and verbally
- Ability to convey data/ideas to all levels of management and a broad constituency
- Able to demonstrate technical, creative, and business understanding and insight
Proven project management ability to:
- Proficiently manage large, complex projects, their dependencies, team members, other resources, schedules, prioritization, and delegation
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Diplomatically and professionally work with project sponsors, executives, and steering committees
- Develop charters, project management plans, work breakdown structures, schedules, status reports, success metrics, etc.
- Manage organizational change
- Follow through and demonstrate consistent dependability
- Handle customer service at a high level, especially respectful negotiation/persuasion
- Analyze large and small amounts of data, processes, and trends
- Solve people, process, and data problems individually and as part of a team
- Coach, mentor, and train other staff members
- Demonstrate creativity on process improvement initiatives
