Boston Medical Center Health System’s (BMCHS) digital team within the Marketing and Communications department is seeking an Assistant Digital Project Manager to manage and deliver projects from kick off to execution. The Digital team oversees nine web properties, with a primary focus on the continuous improvement of BMC.org, and serves departments, programs, and leaders across the organization.
Reporting to the Senior Digital Project Manager on the digital team, the Assistant Digital Project Manager will play an integral role in a variety of initiatives as a client-facing lead and primary point of contact for internal and client teams. The Assistant Digital Project Manager will operate in a cross-functional manner and play a crucial role in enhancing team productivity by streamlining processes, optimizing workflows, organizing files, and documentation.
This role will support and lead projects including gathering information from clients, understanding the overall direction of project requests, providing instructions, timelines, and documenting decisions made to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle. While leading and supporting teams on projects, this role will also work with clients to develop relationships, be a partner, and provide support for ongoing and future projects.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Responsible for delivering web-related projects on time and on budget
Work with clients to identify goals and audiences, creating project plans and timelines, identifying milestones, assigning tasks and deadlines across functions
Develop critical partnerships within the hospital and its affiliates, elevating the Digital team’s reputation within the organization
Coordinate with other Marketing and Communications project leaders for cross-functional and cross-channel initiatives.
Work closely with stakeholders to proactively identify and address any project roadblocks
Oversee Q/A checks and testing when deploying new website pages.
Oversee updates to and maintenance of the organization’s database of provider profiles, a crucial engagement point for BMC.org users.
Serve as a primary point of contact for various internal teams (such as the Creative team, identifying photography needs and collaborating on shared workflows around photography implementation), and external contractors (such as freelance writers and web developers, assigning and QAing work).
Must adhere to all BMCHS principles and values.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree required
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one year of experience in project management, preferably in a digital or marketing communications environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs):
Demonstrated expertise in leading digital projects.
Exceptional attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills.
Basic understanding of SEO and web analytics.
Basic knowledge of UX design and best practices to inform design and website structure decisions.
Basic understanding of content strategy.
Ability to assess risk and determine prioritization.
Experience working in a content management system such as Drupal (or similar).
Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple, cross-functional projects simultaneously.
Dedicated team player with the willingness and desire to learn and grow within the organization.
Experience with project management tools such as Airtable, Trello, or similar is desirable.
The ideal candidate is a team player who has demonstrable experience in strategic project management within a marketing or digital department.
