Position Summary:
Member of the project team, responsible for delivering readily available and actionable data to inform and influence team decision-making and drive better patient care and outcomes. Provides data support for aggregation of healthcare data, including quality, patient, and financial data, to support departmental reporting needs. Independently manages routine analytics work, developing reports/dashboards, and translating stakeholder needs into analytic deliverables. Researches, designs, develops, implements, and maintains reporting and analytical facilities in the context of the hospital's clinical and/or financial systems. Provides analytical and technical guidance to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Researches, designs, develops, implements, and maintains reporting and analytical facilities in the context of the hospital's clinical and/or financial systems. Collaborates with clinical and administrative staff to ensure that reports are timely, accurate, meaningful, and interpretable. Ensures that analyses and reports provide detailed, specific data regarding performance of individuals, teams, programs, divisions, and the department as a whole. Generates reports from a variety of internal and external sources
- Performs standardized data validation activities to ensure the highest quality information for decision-making.
- Uses visualization tools and techniques to create dashboards and reports for decision-making.
- Builds new databases as needed, and maintains a valid and accurate data repository to ensure availability of required information. Assists in the development of data collection and management systems. Helps define specifications for key data elements, data collection procedures, and integrity of databases. Improves and maintains the production environment for tasks and applications.
- Provides analyses and reports of performance indicators, providing trended data using statistical process control or other appropriate techniques.
- Interprets data and provides team with data-driven recommendations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with Data Analytics tools (Stata, R, Python, Microstrategy, Tableau, etc.)
- Proficient in SQL syntax and coding practices. Experience with dimensional data modeling concepts used in data warehousing, business intelligence, and business analytics applications.
- Ability to translate reporting needs expressed in clinical or operational terms to technical solutions based on existing data, data structures, and query tool functionality.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's or equivalent

- 3+ years experience using Data Analytics tools
