See open jobs at Boston Children's Hospital.See open jobs similar to "Financial Analyst II-Clinical Research Reimbursement" MassTech Health IT.Reporting to the Senior Director of Clinical Research Finance, the Financial Analyst II, Clinical Research Reimbursement generates invoices for clinical research accounts, sends invoices to sponsors, tracks and reconciles payments. Incumbent identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect net revenue, contractual allowances, and adjustments for clinical research studies. Performs analysis of payor and general ledger data to help identify and understand variances and fluctuations in clinical research accounts receivable. Maintains a thorough understanding of internal and sponsor driven billing and accounting systems.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generates and sends invoices for clinical research activities under a contractual agreement, that are to be billed to a sponsored.
- Track payment status, respond to sponsor inquiries, and reconcile payments within BCH systems, in a timely manner.
- Performs detailed analyses of various general ledgers accounts and selected cost centers, as assigned.
- Performs account reconciliations and reviews activity for accuracy, completeness, reasonableness, interpreting trends or deviations and making recommendations for corrective action.
- Develops and prepares a variety of ad-hoc reporting, financial models and analyses to senior management as requested or as deemed necessary.
- Maintains collaborative team relationships with peers and colleagues in order to effectively contribute to the working group’s achievement of goals, and to help foster a positive work environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems or design relatively complex systems and programs that cross department/divisional lines.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
- Ability to work independently and within project teams, committees, to attain group goals.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications, in particular Excel and Access, Smartsheet.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, writing, and mentoring skills as well as the ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects; advanced interpersonal skills to provide effective consultation and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree In a field of Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or Finance
- Work requires a minimum of two years of experience and knowledge in the related field.
