This role is located on-site at our Burlington, MA location.

Oversees management of staff, including formulating policies, managing daily operations, and leading employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.

Job Description:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Creates a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization's policies and procedures.
  • Develops and implements procedures to ensure efficient processing of work. Communicates job expectations, identifies training needs, monitors job results, and enforces productivity standards.
  • Holds regularly scheduled team meetings and keeps the Director informed.
  • Maintains staff's work schedules, including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations, and paid time off.
  • Has the authority to direct and support employees' daily work activities. Has the direct responsibility to undertake the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action, and performance reviews. Direct Reports: 4-6 Indirect Reports: None
  • Assists in planning, monitoring, and/or managing the budget in the functional area of the department.

Competencies:

  • Decision Making: Ability to make decisions that are guided by general instructions and practices requiring some interpretation. May make recommendations for solving problems of moderate complexity and importance.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to address problems that are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation using direct observation, knowledge, and skills based on general precedents.
  • Independence of Action: Ability to set goals and priorities for a functional area. May make recommendations for department policies, practices, and programs. The Manager or Director provides broad guidance and overall direction.
  • Written Communications: Ability to communicate complex information in English effectively in writing to all levels of staff, management, and external customers across functional areas.
  • Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and communicate complex verbal information in English to medical center staff, patients, families, and external customers.
  • Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures, and policies with the ability to use them in varied situations.
  • Team Work: Ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve the operations of the immediate work group by offering ideas, identifying issues, and respecting team members.
  • Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required.

Licensure, Certification & Registration:

N/A

Experience:

  • 3-5 years related work experience required in a Healthcare environment and/or medical records, and 0-1 years supervisory/management experience required

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of medical record concepts, laws and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Pay Range:

$79,997.00 USD - $107,665.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
